[Discuss] Infinity working/not responding function eg. exist/listing dir, is any solution? by setting timeout by parameter

Hi,
I have a simple question. Is it possible to set a timeout parameter? When
calling e.g. exist() function on client.

We have a scenario in last month, on infrastructure *exist()* method was
working forever, so we had to kill the process.
