[Gt-eos] Can we drop gridftp-hdfs from the source tree?

Hi,

Globus engineers have been contributing to the OSG version lately. It is much appreciated.

I would be happy with the solution proposed in the thread: don’t build this by default and writing a reasonable README file explaining why.
